Winter Glow Lantern Painting

A little paint, a little Christmas magic, and a lovely lantern to light up the season!

Join me at The Art Cabin for a relaxed, festive morning painting your own Christmas lantern. We’ll use acrylic paints to decorate the glass with pretty seasonal designs, turning a simple lantern into something personal to enjoy at home or give as a handmade gift.

Think delicate winter greenery, cheerful holly and berries, snowy little cottages or a smiling snowman wrapped in his winter scarf. There will be templates, design ideas and plenty of inspiration to help you get started, with room to add your own creative touches.

We’ll leave areas of the glass clear so that candlelight can shine through between the painted details, giving your finished lantern its lovely winter glow.

Choose your lantern colour when booking: black or white. Both look beautiful with the Christmas designs, so you can choose whichever suits your home or gift idea.  When you go through to checkout, you'll find a notes section.  If you can pop in there which colour you would prefer.

The class takes place on Saturday 14 November 2026, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, at The Art Cabin, Hut 2, Craft Village, Coolings Garden Centre, Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, Kent, TN14 7NN. You’ll find us behind Arthurs Café, and parking is free.

Your lantern, paints and all the materials you’ll need are included. Please bring an apron, as acrylic painting can get a little messy!

Refreshments aren’t provided, but you’re very welcome to bring a drink or pick one up from Arthurs Café to enjoy while you paint.
