Get festive and creative with this hands-on workshop exploring the colourful world of alcohol inks. In this two-hour class, you’ll learn how to use this vibrant medium to create stunning abstract effects — first experimenting on paper, and then applying your skills to design your very own set of four Christmas baubles.
 
What we’ll cover:
Introduction to alcohol inks — what they are and how to use them
Playful exercises on paper to explore colour flow and blending
Techniques for applying inks to 3D surfaces
Step-by-step guidance for creating unique, eye-catching baubles
 
What’s included:
✔ All materials (alcohol inks, applicators, paper, and baubles)
✔ 4 baubles to take home (a mix of glass and shatterproof plastic, so you can choose what suits you best)
✔ Demonstrations and individual support
✔ Gloves and aprons provided
 
Health & Safety:
Alcohol inks are solvent-based — we’ll work in a well-ventilated space.
Gloves and aprons will be provided to protect skin and clothing (inks can stain).
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting splashed.
Glass baubles will be handled carefully; shatterproof options are available if preferred.
Alcohol inks are not food safe — artworks are for decorative purposes only.
 
Practical Info:
Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in.
Free parking available at Coolings Garden Centre.
Optional: bring along your own refreshments (or grab a coffee from Arthur’s Café onsite).
The Art Cabin is fully accessible.
