Oil Painting Workshop: Golden Rapeseed Fields Landscape
 
Join me for a relaxed and inspiring half-day oil painting workshop where we will recreate this beautiful landscape of golden fields stretching toward distant blue hills under an expansive sky. This session is designed to guide you step-by-step through the process of building a vibrant landscape in oils, focusing on colour mixing, atmospheric perspective, and creating depth in your painting.
Whether you are completely new to oils or have some painting experience, this class will help you build confidence and develop your landscape painting skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
 
Workshop Details
Date: Saturday 16th May
Time: 10:30am – 3:00pm
 
We will take an extended break of 1 hour and 10 minutes around the middle of the session so students can enjoy lunch and a rest. Lunch is not included, however there is a wonderful restaurant on site that I highly recommend called Arthur’s, which offers a great selection of food.  There is also a lawned section at Arthurs that you can sit and enjoy the surroundings in the lunch break if the weather is reasonable.
 
There are no refreshments available inside the Art Cabin, but we will take a couple of short breaks during the workshop if students would like to pop out and grab a drink.
 
Painting Medium
We will be painting in oils, so please note that your artwork will still be wet at the end of the session. To make transport easier, I will attach a bracket to the back of your painting so it can be carried safely. I will also provide protective plastic, allowing you to lay your painting flat during the journey home.  We will be painting onto a stretched canvas, approximate size is 40 x 45 cm.

Who is this class for?
This workshop is suitable for beginners through to intermediate painters. All instruction will be demonstrated clearly step-by-step, and I will be on hand throughout the session to provide guidance and individual help.
 
Come along for a creative and enjoyable day painting a luminous landscape in oils while learning techniques you can use in future paintings.
