Half Day Jewellery from Art Workshop – Alcohol Ink Jewellery
Saturday 20th June | 10:30am – 3:30pm

Join me for a creative and inspiring half-day jewellery workshop, where you’ll learn how to transform your own artwork into beautiful wearable pieces.

During the morning session, we will explore the vibrant and expressive medium of Alcohol Inks. I will guide you through how to apply the inks, how they react and move across the surface, and how to create striking colour blends and abstract designs. We’ll also cover the materials used, along with some important health and safety guidance when working with alcohol inks.

As the inks are used alongside 99% Isopropanol, we will wear protective gloves throughout the morning session.

In the afternoon, once your artwork has dried, you will select your favourite sections, carefully cut them out, and transform them into jewellery. Your designs will be fitted into professional jewellery blanks, allowing you to create unique handmade pieces.

There will be a lovely selection of jewellery settings to choose from, including:

  • Black, gold, or silver pendants

  • Silver or gold bracelets

  • Bracelets with black cord

  • Black/silver or gold earrings

Your pendants can be finished with silver, gold, black, or coloured cords, allowing you to personalise each piece.

By the end of the workshop, you will leave with four sets of jewellery, which may include combinations such as:

  • Pendant and earrings

  • Earrings and bracelet

  • Pendant and bracelet

Each piece will be created using your own original artwork, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

Important information:
Due to the fumes produced when working with alcohol inks and 99% Isopropanol, this class may not be suitable for those with respiratory conditions or for pregnant women. To ensure good airflow, windows and doors will remain open, and masks will be available for anyone sensitive to smells.

Location:
The class takes place at The Art Cabin, located at:
Coolings Garden Centre
Rushmore Hill
Knockholt
TN14 7NN

Please note that there are two Coolings Garden Centres in Knockholt. The workshop is held at the Rushmore Hill site, not the Main Road site.

Lunch & refreshments:
Lunch and refreshments are not included. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and enjoy the garden area at Coolings, or you may choose to eat at Arthur’s Restaurant, which is located on site. Students are also welcome to bring their own drinks.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to experiment with alcohol inks, learn a new technique, and leave with a collection of beautiful handmade jewellery pieces created entirely from your own artwork. ✨
