The Happy Sketchbook – A 6 Week Creative Course
 
Join us for The Happy Sketchbook, a joyful six-week art course designed to spark creativity and fill your sketchbook with colourful, uplifting paintings. Perfect for beginners and improvers alike, this relaxed course will guide you step-by-step through a series of charming garden-inspired illustrations that we’ll finish with watercolour or gouache.
 
Each week is a design and paint session. We’ll begin by sketching our composition together before bringing it to life with paint. You are very welcome to bring your own inspiration images or ideas that fit the weekly theme, but it’s absolutely not compulsory — I will also bring plenty of inspiration and reference material for everyone to use.
 
Over the six weeks we’ll create:
Week 1: Wellies & Wisteria
Week 2: Wheelbarrows & Sunflowers
Week 3: Daisies & Bumblebees
Week 4: Flowerpots & Geraniums
Week 5: Garden Gnomes & Rudbeckia
Week 6: Wildflowers
 
This course is all about having fun with art, experimenting with colour, and creating cheerful illustrations inspired by the garden.

All materials are provided, including paints, paper, and each student will receive their own sketchbook to keep, where all of the designs and paintings can be collected over the six weeks.
 
Please note that refreshments are not supplied, but Arthur’s Restaurant is on site, and you are very welcome to bring drinks with you.
