5 Week Watercolour Course
 
My own artistic journey began many years ago with a simple love of drawing birds. What started as quiet sketches soon grew into a lifelong passion for art and painting — and that early fascination with feathers, movement and light still inspires my work today.
This course is a chance to share that passion with you, and to help you discover the same joy and calm that painting birds has always brought me.  We will be discovering both realistic ways and also slightly whimsical ways in which to paint these colourful creatures.
 
Join this relaxed and inspiring 5-week watercolour course, perfect for beginners and those who have painted before and would like to strengthen their skills from the basics.
 
About the Course
Over the five weeks we will be studying birds in watercolour — from Pheasants to Kingfishers, Robins to Herons.

You’ll learn how to:
Sketch lightly and confidently
Paint feathers with depth and texture
Create soft, subtle backgrounds to anchor your paintings
 
Each piece will be completed with a mount, so your artwork is ready to frame if you wish.

Refreshments are not provided, but you’re welcome to bring a hot drink with you.
There is also a café and the Artisan Bakery on site should you wish to visit before or after the session.
