Summer Holiday Art Club Booking is open

Summer Holiday Art Camp is now open for booking.

We run every Tuesday morning from 10.30am till 12.30pm.  We have Hello Kitty, Super Heroes, Sweet Treats, Caticorns and Selkies for the children to design and create.

Classes are suitable for 5-10 year olds (Years 1 through to year 6).

Limited availability with only 8 places per morning.

We are located in Coney Hall, BR4.  There is plenty of free parking.  The Art Cabin is situated down a flight of stone steps which may prove difficult for those with mobility issues and sadly we cannot accommodate those in wheelchairs.

Sara our art tutor is very experienced teaching children and adults, and has an enhanced DBS and is also a member of the Out of School Alliance.

Is your child a fan of Hello Kitty? In this class, we guide children through the process of using a stencil shape of a  Hello Kitty character  and transferring that onto a canvas panel. Following this, they will learn how to use vibrant acrylic paints to bring their artwork to life. This hands-on activity not only enhances their drawing and painting skills but also fosters creativity and a sense of accomplishment. Your child will be so proud of their artistic creation!

Who doesn't love a superhero! In this class, children will learn to paint a vibrant sky and personalize a cut-out superhero, which they will then place on their canvas. They will use a variety of colourful acrylic paints to bring their superhero scene to life. This activity not only enhances their painting skills but also encourages creativity and individual expression.

Super cute ice cream and bumblebee art! In this class, children will use a stencil to design their own unique ice cream flavours onto a canvas board.  We use bright coloured acrylic paints to bring these delicious ice creams to life.   Additionally, they will colour in a friendly, curious bee who loves ice cream! This activity promotes creativity and fine motor skills while providing a fun and engaging learning experience.

A combination of a unicorn and a cat! Who can resist a Caticorn? In this trace and paint class, children will learn the art of tracing and transferring images onto a canvas board. Using a plethora of brightly coloured acrylic paints, they can then colour their Caticorn in any way they like! This class encourages creative expression and fine motor skills while fostering a sense of achievement and pride in their work.

During Mythological Week, our young artists will explore Scottish folklore by learning about the Selkie, a shapeshifter that can transform between human and seal and is a cousin of the mermaid. Using a stencil, the children will draw the outline of the Selkie, then design the face, the tail, and colour her in vivid hues, finally giving her a unique sea folk name. This class encourages creative thinking and enhances fine motor skills.

There is a possibility that our classes may book out. If this happens, we may add extra morning sessions to accommodate more children. If the class you wanted to book is full, please add your name and the desired class to the waiting list. We will get back to you if we receive sufficient interest.
